Eclipse seasons should come with a similarly succinct warning but even with all possible due diligence, this mad season oft gets the best of us. If everyone or everything is feeling chaotic, unsteady or simmering as though about to boil over, remember this sandpaper is how we (all) make change. Not one of us is immune.

By now the bizarre magic that is the core competency of eclipse season has its claws in your life. It ramps up from here. Feel the door to that cage of yours rattling as the entire structure starts to swing. Our lunar Leonic version of the species is less than a day away and in my little corner of the conservatory, temperatures are rising in every sense.

We are deep in the zone of the next pretty pair of eclipses. Our full moon in lovely Leo this weekend is a lunar eclipse and the new moon in Pisces' mystic river at the end of Feb is a solar eclipse. Notorious for their ending / begin again two step, eclipses also ripple along particular astrological axes and always ping the prior pigeon pair.

Musing on crucifixion and our unholy willingness to martyr ourselves on a cross that is often only ours to bear. Post eclipse mayhem seems to be hitting hard this cloudy day or have all the bunny chocolates and long weekenders gone straight to our heads?

Last night's full moon eclipse in Libra was the final in a series of eclipses on the Libra / Aries axis that have been running since 2012, taunting us with their potent blood moons and forcing us to consider one of the greatest balancing acts we try to master in our oh so busy lives: me vs you. Yep, that old chesnut.

The full moon in Libra has nearly risen and just before 11pm tonight Wollombi time the lunar eclipse takes place completing the astronomical process of eclipse season, even as this potent window will continue to exert its significant effect in our lives for weeks and months yet. It strikes me that Microsoft is behaving just like the eclipses. We have had fair warning, after all. Every astrologer worth their stars sees an eclipse rippling for months either side of the blackout.
