Merc’s Surreal Emergence

If you have ever walked through fog, you know its discombobulating magic. Life feels otherworldly as your sense of direction is traded for instinct and you can only barely make out the next step in front of you.
So too our emergence from Mercury's surreal retrograde, that scrambled us in order to force us out of our heads and into our true feelings. Its unholy reveal of secrets and lies, delusions and smokescreens led us often unwilling to a whole truth. One that has not yet found its perspective and meaning within us and cannot unless we let the silt settle.
This week we close the first quarter moon cycles, trading the hangover of last year's perfect storms for our new beginning. Be careful not to jump the starter's gun or leap into the dissipating mists. The dark moon will slowly blow the clouds away but you may not like what comes suddenly into focus. Trickster energy remains strong in the rx shadow and nothing is set yet.
Use these next few days to allow this year so far to settle into you and find its right place. Accept everything that you now know, without trying to alter its form or skip any discomfort. True north isn't always a steady bearing. Let all that has departed fully leave so its half life in your body can be absorbed as wisdom and experience. Skipping too quickly on to the next is a ruse that tricks only the foolish and fearful.
By next weekend your dying embers will be kindled by the flint that is Aries unbridled. Life will start to move and shake and shimmer with the new moon, whose promise is always a function of how well we do the preceding dark.
Gently find your feet. Softly work out which way is up now. Don't fret or sweat what lies beyond the soothing. Seek the balm of solitude and the panacea on offer when the bright lady hides her face from the world.
