The Pisces new moon is a liminal threshold. A strange crossing whose current pulls us through its portal, whispering to us in tongues and conjuring diffident dreams from our dark materials. We feel an almost imperceptible tidal shift from a place beyond the depths.

This month's dark moon bolthole is welcome refuge and scrying pool. A place to lay our world weary head away from the cumulative horror of the world of men and conjure an equal music of our own.

In the shadow of the dark moon, as the world above twists and turns in transition, today the sun and Neptune meet in Pisces' deep waters. To speak in strange tongues about the nature of truth and the veil of illusion, the persistence of memory and the body that keeps score, the journey beyond conditioning and control to elysian fields of freedom.

Every month in a row she calls us to temporary retirement. The beautiful moon hides her face, the stars blaze in her absence and the tides within us ebb. The bone tired exhaustion of all these modern gauntlets run on repeat catches up with us. We are world weary and craving retreat, rest and recalibration. The dark moon envelops us in her soft folds.

This week is a sweet surreal dream arriving as antidote and answer to the questions posed on repeat by this year in transition. Now may we surrender to Neptunia and the dark tides that precede the new moon in Pisces next weekend.

It takes a while to get your sea legs. Pisces season always asks us to dive deeper than we did the time before and swim further from our safe shores. Pisces in the burgeoning age of Aquaria has initially held us all as fish out of water, imploring us to learn new strokes with which to navigate the surreal currents of humanity's overdue revolution. The one that never had any intention of us escaping its net.

Common as it is on Monday to feel like your get up and go already got up and went, this week is a nebulous path. Hard to get all the way into fast as it drags its feet over the new lines.

Welcome to the deep darklings, as the sun leads the charge out of the gates of Aquaria. Venus will follow into Pisces next week though the vibe of the dive remains distinctly Aquarian. Not drowning, transmogrifying.

Our first good Mercing of this year is drawing its out of the box conclusion today. It is a transit that rewards a telescope more than a microscope.

As we gallop through the midpoint of Merc's retrograde and he meets the sun in Pisces, we are at the tipping point of this transit. And there is just so very much on multidimensional platforms to consider. Enter the ghosts of missteps past, whose unholy spectre arrives to pull your reluctant attention by the nose.

Though the moon is newly reborn in Pisces, this is not a start line from which to clang or bolt or proclaim. Not all moons are created equal and lunar solidarity resists such limiting prescription, tis the feminine after all. In Pisces the new moon is curtains parting to reveal a deep ocean, gently lit by moonlight whose shining surface promise only its depths.

A word to the wise mermaids, as we navigate the fathoms of Pisces season and Mercury's emo retrograde. Though this sign cultivates the shamanic depths and our emotional currents, it also has a spectacular penchant for drama, delusion and evasive bypass. Pisces is just as great at opting out or cultivating unconsciousness. Everything has its shadow.

The glitching is almost delicious as Mercury and Neptune, space and time, solar flares and the Schumann resonance ripple and warp. As though the multiverse has set its sights on a spluttering earth and all kinds of mighty forces have come out to play. Together making for a continuing unprecedented adventure into the roaring twenties.

The sun's plunge into Pisces is our latest initiation point. Now we dive into Neptunia. Pisces is our shamanic sight line, the domain of peak emo as barometer and compass.

The overture and the undertow of our impending Mercury retrograde is already being deeply felt. In a climate of manoeuvering and misinformation, Merc's first rx offers nebulous antidote to a world in the throes of revolutionising itself.

If the treasure hunt isn't floating your boat just yet* or the sun squaring Saturn has ratcheted up the pressure just a tad too much**, dreamy escapism and epic delusion are also on offer while Venus and Neptune cuddle up together in Pisces.
In fact all of these aspects are in play all at once this week, a veritable smorgasbord of celestial morsels for us to nibble on. Gulp, gorge or gurgle, as the case may be.

If you have ever walked through fog, you know its discombobulating magic. Life feels otherworldly as your sense of direction is traded for instinct and you can only barely make out the next step in front of you. So too our emergence from Mercury's surreal retrograde, that scrambled us in order to force us out of our heads and into our true feelings.

Yes it's true darklings, Mercury is no longer retrograde. His step ball change right on Neptune has called a halt to his reverse gear shenanigans but I'm betting a boob that we're not out of these surreal waters quite yet. Uncle Merc now retraces his strange steps through the shadow of his rx until mid April. This is an echo, cosmic déjà vu.
