Emerging from the depths of the Piscean waterworld and its thorough drenching in all the feels is miraculous. Aries always arrives like an exclamation mark as fresh fire sparks in our bellies.

Easy as it is to lose our connection to cycles as so many are being disrupted, the new moon offers us all a lifeline. A blessed begin again and fresh start line. In Aries this bold new moon is both initiation and ignition point, a fiery imperative to fan whatever you are flaming about. So you can use this lunation to spark the new or you can take it like a toddler that has been sent to their room. Though a rash of power tantrums are forecast, you still have a choice darklings.

The sun into Aries and equinox is our begin again. The start point of the zodiac - and thus too the finish line of the preceding cycle - confers this place with a sense of investiture. Here once more we are initiated. 2020 style we are all being impacted. No one escapes this revolution, though perhaps we now understand why it should not be televised.

Though Chiron has been in Aries since Feb last year, with the world burning then flooding then completely freaking out there has been precious little time to dive into our deepest existential identity wounds. Survival mode makes hasty decisions and rash vows. But there ain't nothing like isolation - and a gentle shunt from the stars - to push the world's individuals to grander considerations.

Despite a crowded cosmic choreography, this week bows down to our lady Venus in iconic mode. Her passage through Aries has been greatly obscured by the smoke and mirrors of the Mercing through Neptunia. The next few days we will feel the ripples as she stamps her authority and reminds us of the power of our heart to rule.

Venus in Aries is iconic and leaves an indelible impression. A one word moniker is often all that is required for these wonder women and gamechanging men. Audrey. Marilyn. Gaga. Rihanna. Einstein. Lincoln. These powerful ranks include epic go getters like Elizabeth Taylor, Jack Nicholson and Katherine Hepburn. And so the wheel turns once more, this eve at 3.15am Wollombi time when the sun storms into the firebrand go-getter energy of Aries. Crossing the equator as he goes, the sun king delivering our equinox tipping point when day and night are of equal length. Our Northern friends begin to rise and stretch into Spring as here in the South we begin the descent towards the dark cauldron days of Winter.

Lady Luna has fairly stormed into Aries at the very end point of her cycle. She knows the New and Wonderful is just around the corner. So it makes revoltingly good sense that we have been rubbed the wrong way under fiery skies to show us in the clearest possible terms what does not deserve a place in our heads.

The first day of a new anything is often dedicated to grand resolutions and audacious planning but we have really been spoilt this astrological new year.
