Venus Iconic

Elizabeth Taylor - her Venus in Aries - as Queen Cleopatra, 1963

Despite a crowded cosmic choreography, this week bows down to our lady Venus in iconic mode. Her passage through Aries has been greatly obscured by the smoke and mirrors of the Mercing through Neptunia. The next few days we will feel the ripples as she stamps her authority and reminds us of the power of our heart to rule.

By late Thursday her work is done as she strides into her home state of Taurus. You will hear harps and feel your hummingbird heart leap. But first, her passage through the final degrees of Aries. These hard yards see Venus square off with much of the Capricorn congress, forcing a reconsideration of values through their shared lens. This is an echo of January, after the the time required then to enact overdue change. 2020 is galloping with no time to waste.

Venus and Pluto have been glowering at each other since the weekend and neither is backing down. Their face off raises control dramas, revealing any manipulative playing field in any relationship. Giving and receiving is too a demonstration of our power and our values. Detonation might see you win the battle but your heart will show that you lost the war. The only real apology is changed behaviour. You are in charge of the consequences.

Next in the ring is Saturn, our stern midweek wet blanket threatening to dowse Venus' fire in a hail of criticism and judgement. Tough to swallow and even harder to digest, this aspect reflects the old scripts back to us. That childhood patterning does not un-etch itself from our hearts and minds. Only the love, care and respect you give yourself can do that as you wander old shadowlands. Here will you see what remains untouched on your workbench playing out in your grown up life.

The anaretic degree of Aries is prelude to Lady Love's return home to Taurus on Thursday. It throbs with the kind of human growth hormones that allow us to actualise and inhabit our potential. Not everyone will gulp from the chalice but all are offered a drink this week, as our Queen of Stars leads us through the rumbling masses and into the bar.

Trust your heart over your head.
She knows what she's doing.
