All too often our wisdom gets tangled in the pressure cooker that is this life. We lose our footing and in the scramble to regain some semblance of balance, we engage some truly awful coping mechanisms. We fight. We take flight. We catastrophise. We overthink. We underfunction. Throw in some social anaesthetic and a week of fabulously craptastic skycandy: stir vigorously.
In the same way that things turn to shit sometimes in a heartbeat, the smoke can clear just as quickly. There are some fast tracks to clarity you can always rely on if you go back to basics.
Self care. Nutrition. A good night's sleep. Vitamin sea. Animal cuddles. Bushwalking. Tea parties. Dancing. Meditation. Creativity. Cooking without a schedule or a recipe. Sweet sweet music. A long chat with a dear one. Hands in the soil. Head in the stars.
Life is so very much easier - no matter what it throws at you - if your coping mechanism feeds rather than drains you. How do you balm your weary soul and find your inner compass?
