With the Sun, Mercury, Venus and Uranus in Aries the mood has seriously fired up.

And so the wheel turns once more, this eve at 3.15am Wollombi time when the sun storms into the firebrand go-getter energy of Aries. Crossing the equator as he goes, the sun king delivering our equinox tipping point when day and night are of equal length. Our Northern friends begin to rise and stretch into Spring as here in the South we begin the descent towards the dark cauldron days of Winter.

Not attracting the hullabaloo of her mercurial neighbour, it is easier to overlook the obvious, significant effect of Venus Retrograde on our lives and loves. Our Lady Venus has been in retreat since early March - following a scented heads up late January - and mid April sees her official re-emergence.

Lady Luna has fairly stormed into Aries at the very end point of her cycle. She knows the New and Wonderful is just around the corner. So it makes revoltingly good sense that we have been rubbed the wrong way under fiery skies to show us in the clearest possible terms what does not deserve a place in our heads.

The first day of a new anything is often dedicated to grand resolutions and audacious planning but we have really been spoilt this astrological new year.

Our Lady of Love's annual retreat has begun as she withdraws to contemplate, revise and thus reinvigorate all that tickles and tugs at our hummingbird hearts. The moon is nearly new in Aries, a chest thumping firestarter that marks the end of one era and the beginning of another. It is no surprise that there's almost a coven of dark goddesses with a magic hand in this tipping point.

Last night's full moon eclipse in Libra was the final in a series of eclipses on the Libra / Aries axis that have been running since 2012, taunting us with their potent blood moons and forcing us to consider one of the greatest balancing acts we try to master in our oh so busy lives: me vs you. Yep, that old chesnut.

The movement of Mercury into Aries this morning is an antidote to nebulous communication but be careful what you wish for. Whilst the Neptunian delusionists and filthy liars alike are no longer as able to flourish under non fishy skies, Arien firepower can be dangerously bombastic in the wrong mouth.

New moon in Aries is nearly here Bohemians and so it is that we have a supercharged opportunity to make a wish that will stick. Be mindful of your thoughts when you wake tomorrow and as always be careful what you wish for!
