Aquaria is a prism. A kaleidoscope we peer through into the future. Fragments of past and fractals of the present enlivened by its changing lenses. Evolution courting us in dark corners where we can no longer hide. Teasing a smile and a flutter of hope despite all we refuse to release ourselves from.

Not all moons are created equal. The journey through the deep treacle of the Aquarian balsam is no ordinary dark mooning. Descending like an otherworldly cloak as beneath its soft sparking folds you are transported, this caravan of selves.

Mercury's retrograde always proffers strange crossings. Tangling us in language and tech snafu that raises questions and hides easy answers. Changing course and altering propulsion so we move as if in a dream. Conjuring the past, breaching the surface glass we have cultivated to disguise our denizens of the deep. All in the service of a slow dance through our life to date, its revision calling wisdom to our own little boat.

Make no mistake about it darklings, this week reeks of rebirth as the past, present and future intermingle sans frontiers. Between Merc's planetary pinballing, his retrograde and cazimi and a whole new lunar year with the ultra Aquarian new moon, the end of this week won't remotely look or feel like its beginning.

Mars has strapped on a dodgy ancient facemask he found in his kit and finally made it through the crumbling carnage of Capricornia. Fighting an enemy he couldn't see as the towers fell, Mars crossed the threshold into Aquaria. Momentarily neutralised, the briefest respite to lay down his sword and grab a pitcher before the flames leap again.

Today we welcome a delightful tilt shift in the playing field as two of our personal planets move mansions and moods. If you're feeling stuck in the mud that 2020 has been liberally hurling around, this is antidote and opportunity wrapped in lightning.

Aquaria is known for its irreverence and the delight it takes in forging an unseen path of its own. Said to walk to the beat of a different drummer than most everyone else, its natives are quirky originalists with a stubborn determination to do things their own peculiar way.

Once more the anaretic degrees of fate in a curious choreography forced the break: up, down or through.

Here she stares through the lens of objectivity, a boon for tragic romantics and rose coloured fantasists everywhere. She trades her wishbone for a stronger spine and her delusions for a grandeur borne of her own heart.

Fool's gold glistens and seduces us because we want so badly to believe it is real. It speaks to the true nature of our desires. Most dreadfully, to our willingness to be duped in our ardent pursuit of them. Under pressure, its true nature is revealed. It never passes any real test and will fail as many times as you let it.
