Pluto Clipping Merc’s Heels
Our intense weekend continues unabated thanks to Pluto exerting his significant charm and challenge from the swishing tail end of Capricornia. Today Pluto squares off with Merc as prelude to his rebirth tomorrow, giving us all a great deal to muse upon.
Although he has already reached his stationing point, Pluto's annual retrograde is still more than a week away. With all planets in direct motion until then and linked by a dense lattice of aspects between them, the cosmic conspiracy behind 2021 is becoming abundantly clear: evolve or die.
As the dark lord of transformation through his perpetual waltz of life, death and rebirth, Pluto takes no prisoners and tells no lies. His firm hand in our lives ignores bleak protest or clinging attachments. His methods are insanely effective and his results nothing short of spectacular. But the more you fight Plutonic evolution, the deeper he pulls you under.
In square aspect to the parade of planets on their way out of Aries, Pluto issues a challenge. Today he sets Merc's winged heels all aflutter by plunging us into the depths of our marvellous minds. Down deep into the shadows that blur the borders of consciousness and conditioning to swim in the dark matter from which all our thoughts take form.
It isn't a conspiracy. The only tricks of the mind are your own dark arts, protection mechanisms that have crossed the border from sane response to madly ineffective, with a high chance of harm. This is thinking you can now challenge from a safer place, transforming its painful roots into a grounded power that reflects your resilience and your dynamism alike.
Tomorrow we rebirth. Today we sit out on the parapet above the valley of death. Letting the winds of change dance through heavy heads and over our winged heels clicking together. Go deep, darklings. Reinventing yourself, your work or your whole damn world is as hard and as simple as changing your mind.
It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change.
