Merc’s Anaretic Cazimi

Art by Jake Badderley

Our week kicks off in spectacular fashion as the Sun and Mercury come together at the final degree of Aries, pulling each other across the threshold into Taurus' elysian fields. For half a day they blaze in company and our own transformation by cardinal fire reaches its peak.

From the beautiful ancient Arabic, cazimi describes being forged and reborn through the heart of the sun, initiated again into the holy mysteries of the sanctum sanctorum. The choreography of Merc's orbit around the Sun is marked by these meetings which shift perspective and purpose by design.

At the anaretic degree of Aries, action stations crowd the event horizon. This crossing demands far more than thoughtful musing. Transformation does not happen without your active participation and most all of it has its seeds in what we set our minds to. This is Mercury's domain in our charts, extending a bridge to a braver new world for those with the courage, leadership and chutzpah to set one foot after the next upon it.

How you think is one thing, borne of conditioning and experience and all too frequently slaughtered by the same. Today offers an unparalleled opportunity to cast blame and unforgiveness, resentment and stinky thinking into the flames. You cannot immolate your inner critic but together you can sit by the fire and really talk about what's truly going on under the hood.

How you make yourself heard or seen is quite another thing. Interpersonal waters are muddied by the boots of all who wade into them wailing about being constantly misunderstood. Merc today rebirths communication from a truer you, one who no longer dresses themselves in masks or projections or shadow selves trailing borrowed light. Begin with the whole truth and never hide it from those you would have see you. If you do, it is hardly their fault.

Today is a comms update and a mental reset for those ready to upgrade their wiring. Marrying ancient wisdom to modern biotech beneath the blazing hearts of the old sky gods, whose prayers for our lives are etched in the stardust lining of our cells. Those cleansed by fire are reborn from the flames.

We do not see things as they are, we see them as we are.
