One And The Same

In much the same way that life and death have their roots embedded in each other, our endings and beginnings are forever intertwined. When we rightly let go of what is past its use by date or not even remotely working for us - ideally sans drama, blaming or flailing - we are making space for the new and wonderful. When we have it unceremoniously ripped or brutally taken away (I'm looking at you eclipse season) it is often hard to accept that the same applies.

The vacuum created by the void pulls in whatever you keep your steady focus on. Make no mistake about it, this void is unfamiliar, insecure, baseless and ungrounded: largely terrifying. It looks and feels nothing like we want it to. All too often we are wistfully looking behind us, or actively fighting the forces of nature to go backwards. When two mighty forces pull in opposite directions, the net result is a shaky, unsteady stasis where nothing sits comfortably.

It is how we manage the simultaneous nature of the starter's gun and the mourning bell that determines the forthcoming ripples. It is an exercise in trust and surrender and requires a fervent belief in possibility and evolution.

This is the shit that you alchemise into gold. In learning precisely how, you enshrine the progress you make.
Is it an ending or a beginning?

Both. You get to choose which way you turn your head.
