Mondays’ Muses

I could not possibly list the myriad talents that constitute my femme friends. Mothers, lovers, daughters. Sisters all. Creatives, rebels, carers, weavers. Witches all.

The year that stretches shiny and unfettered in front of me makes me think of the one that just was. It was one that showed me the myriad forms love can take in your life and the one that held me most consistently was the loving community of women I have constellated about me. A net of super stars that never let me slip through and radiate the most beautifully unholy light. Afraid of nothing. Ready for everything. Cavernous in their caring.

All I can tell you today is what I have learned. What I have discovered as a person in this world. And that is this: you can’t do it alone. As you navigate through the rest of your life, be open to collaboration. Other people and other people’s ideas are often better than your own. Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life.
~ Amy Poehler

To my sisters-in-community and life, I could not even without you.
