Merc’s Dualling Retrograde

Our universal go slow seriously kicks in today - a welcome reprieve after a couple of frenzied weeks - as Mercury trades his airy domain for some backwards two step. He joins a bulging retrograde party, with Jupiter putting the brakes on our expansion since February, Venus nearly completing her revision of our love on all levels and Father Time himself applying his saturnine tempering for many months to come. The message is clear to review and re-envision.

Ideally this weekend long Virgo moon has prepared you well to avoid the cliched Merc Rx disaster mongering. Here we keep our eyes open for tech snafu but seek the revealing whole truth when communication goes awry; we travel anticipating redirection and adventure rather than delay; we press pause before any big launch or purchase or commitment because we know we will not be where we are now by the close of this all too frequent astro passage. We don't panic, nodding instead to grander plans and surrendering to the very real magic on offer over the next few weeks.

Each retrograde is flavoured by its planet, where it chooses to reset in the zodiac and beyond that, how it then interacts with our personal astrolandscape. Our winged messenger forced to land in verdant fields of Taurus and then begin his journey back to dip into Aries means we have again have a dual flavour to wrap our lips and lives around. We will be steadying ourselves first; placing winged feet squarely on grateful ground, stopping to smell those roses and drink in the bright blue sky.

Patience is the name of the game now and deep lungfuls of solid good sense, no matter what appears to up-end in the first week of this all too familiar dance. Stretch those glittering eyes wide as a conspiring cosmos leans in with all the information you need. Observe and tweak as required. Wait. Notice repeating messages and act accordingly. Pause once more. Play your long game and keep your fingers off the panic button. Plunge them deep into soil or sea instead as you rest, review and ultimately reinvigorate your good self.
