Dark Moon Vortex
Art: Delusion by Agnieszka Rowińska
This dark moon vortex is a strange cocktail best sipped carefully. Be done with unconscious sculling or mindless marination if you are to have any head for its revolution. The cosmos ripples and wrenches with interesting combinations whose taste will differ according to our palate, our mood and the glass we find ourselves drinking from. Muddling our many selves as they dissolve and reform in service of evolution.
Anything yet to be understood is indistinguishable from magic, whose holy neutrality is only coloured by our constructions and intentions. The reality we inhabit is shaped and reformed again by the spells we so constantly cast over ourselves, mindlessly and even wordlessly as our emotions and energy surge beyond language.
Today Chiron and Mercury put their heads together in Aries, chatting identity wounds and the power of our marvellous minds to leap beyond their prison. Our great escape is not found by running away but in turning towards, bending heart and head to the task. You can only be poked in the sore spots you refuse to acknowledge or whose claim has been lost in a howling cloud of blame. The easy out that regurgitates the medicine and abandons the hard holy work of healing. If you can birth new words to frame your pain you will stumble upon the hidden path. If you can cast the old into Aries friendly fire, you will light your way further along it.
Meanwhile Neptune in Pisces, stirring our wild unconscious with the language of riddles and symbols, is further activated by a square from Mars in Gemini. A challenge to our delusions and wilful night blindness. A test of trust and our bravery to confront what we might rather turn away from as old notes from a scandal slip back under the door. Desire and dreams tangle with wanton wilfulness, raising eyebrows and suspicion. Reality catches the last plane to the coast but leaves its excess baggage behind to weigh heavily upon us.
The dark moon is never built on sudden moves or rash conclusions. Imagination is also a weapon in the wrong hands. Fear can colour even the sweetest elixir and sour its essence. Open wide to the unknown and let yourself be shown.
