A Very Mutual Reception

Art by Remedios Varo, Travels of the Troubador, 1959

It isn't really an encounter. More like a spell cast of yearning, thoughtlessly tossed into the wind by a changing mind and a shifting heart. Mars in his twin skin and out of bounds. Venus in Aries taking her leave from the world of men. Their sextile a long distance conversation without voices. Their mutual reception a sleepover at each other's houses while the other is away.

Venus has claimed a celestial room of her own in Aries, tempering her feminine power like chocolate. She is rekindling her heart spark and blazing dangerously at any who seek to put out her fire. Before she crosses the threshold into her beloved elysian fields, she will first dance with the mighty new moon and tango with Pluto, transformed.

Mars in Gemini is having his mind stretched past its crashing limits. Our cosmic warrior is being schooled beyond the art of war. The masculine finally seeking higher ground, rising to meet its potential and the potent promise of its inherent structure. To have and to hold rings with deeper understanding of the old vows, made manifest in braver new worlds.

The masculine and feminine alike are boobs deep in wild transformation that will truly madly deeply rebirth union. No longer a game of trading cards and loaded dice. No more a desperately uneven killing field that monsters the sweet breath of lovers. The jig of loaded bases is up as an equal music strains to be heard, and then sung to life. We are moving beyond dark days of dominion towards reciprocity and reverence, the whole truth of love.

Right relationship is the new bedrock that can only begin within. If you have not yet brokered peace between your masculine and your feminine, or gotten to know them out of the bounds of another, you cannot fairly subject anyone else to your war games. The only eyes you are seductively pulling the wool over are your own, dancing in the dark.

All your strength is in union, all your danger is in discord.
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
