Wounding and healing are not opposites. They're part of the same thing. It is our wounds that enable us to be compassionate with the wounds of others. It is our limitations that make us kind to the limitations of other people. It is our loneliness that helps us to to find other people or to even know they're alone with an illness. I think I have served people perfectly with parts of myself I used to be ashamed of.~ R N RemenShadow work is the most compassionate journey you will make. The one that holds the wound sacred, the story as constant context and the whole truth precious and unvarnished. A solo trek to your dark interior, an heroic descent to dose the soul. Our shadows are edgewalkers and bridge builders but you have to stand opposite them to know that. Our shadows store so much power they frighten others but you have to be in their presence to hear it crackling. In our shadows we find the salvation we beg from lesser gods but only once you have knelt before them are you blessed. Our shadows crave only the balm of our attention and the healing that comes from listening without agenda. They hold the keys to our many selves locked for too long in a prison of our own making. They will wait as long as you do, for you. This dark moon we journey once more to the shadowlands. If you want to know how to begin or to find your way back there, join me this Thursday via the link in bio. Recording available to ticketholders who can't join us live. Bonus Q&A afterwards for those keen to learn more about shadow work.Today's altar brought to you by daily morning ritual and consistent shadow dancing, ably assisted by my @loobylou_candles by Kere and my potent blood moon seraphim crafted by Lucy Pierce @hearth_songWords and image c.
