Elvira's response says it all really as we wake to the self published fake news of the 'stable genius' whose grubby little fingers yet hold - however tenuously - the keys to the kingdom. Kinda reminds me of my favourite Margaret Thatcher quote."Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you're not."I have often thought the same applies to both genius and stability. A barking assurance is an alarm bell all of its own. And with a constant ringing in our ears, so begins the toppling.As an avid historian with a fascination for the intersection of personal power and leadership, this presidency / political gong show is one of the best lessons in the evolution of power in the modern age. Now predicated on social media and tried in the court of popular opinion, our leaders are playing a far more dangerous game post milennium. One they feel more personally able to manipulate but whose outcome they are less able to control.It is enthralling to watch the curtain fast shredding and the playing field levelling. As citizens, our personal agency and ability to effect real meaningful change is rising fast, in line with both our compassion and our horror. It is the bizarre combination of the two that summons activism and galvanises action.Enter Uncle Pluto, one of this year's major planetary players. A heavy hitter in his own right with a reputation for chaos, carnage and destruction, Pluto is the embodiment of The Tower in tarot. In both cases the end goal - past disaster and post trauma - is regeneration.
