The Wisdom of Crickets

You know I love a good animal sign Bohemians and recently all I've been hearing is crickets. Literally. These little chirrupers have been leaping into my life in a big way over the past couple of weeks. I have had one bite me in my kitchen on the toe. I have eaten more than a handful (yes, crispy and delicious) in gorgeous Thai night markets. Today I have had three in Bohemia, one landing in my glass on my desk just now as I write.

This is one of the ways the Universe speaks to us. If you're looking for a sign, it's probably right under your nose or repeatedly brought to your attention. In my case, these little critters are leaping about me waving.

Crickets are a sign of good fortune and good luck, yes apparently even if they bite you. They herald the impending arrival of our dreams, reminding us to stay open to guidance from the Universe. A beautiful little circle, don't you think? Crickets also indicate a deeper awakening of sensitivities, as mirrored in their behaviour. Coming out at night and quietening down if you walk by, cricket medicine speaks to our psychic energies and sensitivities. They point to a resurgence of our intuition and inner voice, which is precisely how the cosmos speaks to us and through us.

Crickets take only leaps and bounds, with complete faith and trust that where they land will be favourable. If you are considering a leap of faith Bohemians, this little insect offers much reassurance - provided you relinquish the need to know precisely what's next and leave space for the magic.
