The Sun and Uranus

Photography by Andrew Cooney

Because the flux zone is not shaking or stirring us enough - and we're really only moments into the process that is playing games with us until June - today we welcome the lightning rod that is the Sun and Uranus, shoulder to shoulder at the tail end of Aries. Thunder is rumbling and the air is crackling, the light shifting with the impending storm.

We are still three weeks from Uranus' epic shift into Taurus, a movement that will ripple for many years as he changes the playing field in the materialistic little bull's lair. But for today, our cosmic changemaker is stirring the pot and firing us up as the sun's flames lick his heels.

Beware rash sudden moves, ill conceived or on maddening impulse. Uranus is the cosmos' shock jock and delights in shaking us up without a thought for the ramifications. Even as everything is changing on a moment by moment basis, try to sit still in the eye of it. This is your spot. With precisely nothing set yet as we wade through transformation writ large, the best we can do is wait wide eyed and allow the process to unfold. Behaving like a bull in a china shop jacked up on current can only end in a smashing mess.

Instead cultivate the kind of lightning breakthrough that illuminates your path, even if only the next baby steps. Ignore the grumbling of others or those who think the sky is falling. Toss drama farmers and stress lords overboard. Let the storm rumble about you as you ride it out.

She stood in the storm and when the wind did not blow her way, she adjusted her sails.
