The Grandest Mythologies
Art by Kay Neilsen
The mythologies that seed or emerge startled this week will linger long in our imagination. In time we will look back on these days, once hindsight gives way to wisdom, and see how heads and hearts were gently turned by the imperceptible hand of magic.
Our soul does not seek our permission for changes of course, in much the same way that we don't when we diverge from its path. Caught up in the bustle and haste of a world so addicted to the reality it has confected, and so deliberately separated from its own compelling guidance, we can miss the moments that shift us. Cut off from the cycles of nature, within and without, we forget how to sense their approach or recognise the knock at our door. But our tale all told will have many of them, and some lie in wait for us this week.
The gods of sea and sky, Neptune and Jupiter, have come together in Pisces. East of the sun and west of the moon, their meeting is a chime that echoes out across the unverse. It rings in a seeding point as placeholder for what will unfurl in the months to come, a secret letter delivered to the deepest door of your imagination. The world will bend itself to a new arc of understanding that will carry us through turbulent seas to an undiscovered shore. Many will clutch their breasts in sweet relief as we feel the pull away from the horror stitched into the old world, its tapestry fraying in the whipping wind.
Transformation is written in the spheres this week. Mercury will land fleet footed in Taurus, the psychopomp as outlier and frontrunner as he arrives to eclipse territory. Here he stitches mind back to body, senses claiming their pride of place in our mental architecture. Mars dives into the fathomless currents of Pisces, its stellium pulling us deeper into mystery and magic, as he champions the forsaken and adds intuition to his quiver.
The beautiful moon glides towards her peak in Libra at the far end of this strange turn of days. The last before eclipse season takes hold of her, and us. Illumination increases on approach in increments felt rather than seen as this week has its way with us.
Do not suppose to know where you are in the story. Let it unfold.
