The Equinox Wobble Board

We are wobbling towards Thursday's tipping point as equinox and another initiatory full moon combine and it feels nothing like a journey to balance. More likely its wild opposite, as mighty forces continue this week to ensure we feel the full effect of our world so sorely beyond equilibrium.
We must bear witness to all that we can no longer unsee nor deny. In our heads and hearts, in our communities, in our world gone mad. We must sit with our horror and grief and let it reform us. To continue to sweep it under the carpet renders us complicit.
The full moon in Libra will shine her blazing gaze on where we may be dreadfully off kilter. Libra's symbol is the scales of justice, its highest octave is temperance and balance. But as any card carrying Libran will ruefully tell you, their divinely symmetrical faces contorting ever so briefly, balance is a journey not a destination.
The quest for balance presumes its opposite as it seeks to right itself. We perpetually hanker for this holy homeostasis as though one day everything will still, having found its right place. We tip wildly through its seeking and finding and tipping again.
The magic of any quest is folded into its many parts. Life is both see saw and tightrope, all at once and all the time. We tip and stumble, we regain our steady footing ever so briefly before we slip again. Some glorious days we purposely swandive from the centre, for there are many things in life worth losing our equilibrium.
Balance is an act. The art of constant adjustment, whose counterpoint is held in its opposite. There is a very good reason we have so many little bones and so much sinew weaved in our feet. Your life demands you use them all.
This week will demonstrate where we have lost our balance. It will raise the spectre of the past, if not reanimate its ghosts, so that we may finally bury our dead. And it will force us to tip and right ourselves once again.
Every wobble is your teacher. Each tremor is your test. Every careful step confirming all you have learned. Each deep breath cementing your resolve. Don't stop now, darklings.
Once we accept our limits, we go beyond them.
