Merc’s Feet On The Ground-ish

Art: Hermes, 1981 by Salvador Dali

Mercury has landed fleet footed in Taurus, the psychopomp arriving to eclipse territory with more than a few tricks up his fluttering sleeve. Here for his longest stretch in decades thanks to an incoming retrograde. Its shadow already dancing at the far end of this week, only adding to its now or neverness.

If Merc's charge through Aries unleashed the bombast and occasional flamethrower, in the bull's realm he patiently stitches mind back to body and measured consequence. The senses reclaim pride of place in our mental architecture, married to values thanks to Venus' exalted residency. Now persistence pays off, practice makes perfect and discipline delivers. Consistency is a self love language. Pleasure is a state of grace.

Though it would be easy enough to slip towards retrograde in a daze of fragrant wonder, this is eclipse territory. The future looms large from the farthest threshold and plucks at our edges. The north node whispering a prerequisite to weeks of revision, review and reset that will be multiplied by Urania's chaos magic.

Every planetary ingress into Taurus squares off with the dark lord, weighing what yet lurks in the shadow against evolution. Every exit softens this angle into something we can harmonise with. Pluto playing fast and long with power and regeneration from a fresh perch in Aquaria, setting landmines by the gates.

The beautiful moon glides towards her peak in Libra, the last before eclipse season takes hold of her and our worlds. Aries season is not nearly done with us yet as flints flicker and blaze. Illumination increases on approach in gulping increments, felt rather than seen as this week has its way with us.

Perception keeps chanting its own peculiar tale. Even so do not suppose to know where you are in the story. There is still so much more to come, and go. What smarts can yet be salved but best leave the lost things where you dropped them. Forego answers for adventures in consciousness. Pursue the questions from the ground up.

The answers are only temporary
