Chironic Territory

Antique 18th century safe

In a world trying to become more empathic and compassionate, our oldest wounds still smart. In our charts this is Chironic territory, a vital learning curve that shapes and frames the human experience. All of us have this tender place, but fewer move beyond its militant protection to unlock the treasure inside it.

Chiron's mythology, like his glyph, is the key to healing. His abandonment and suffering mirrors the human experience as too does his endurance and resilience. Chiron teaches by example. Overcoming anything is simply learning how to.

Chiron in Aries pokes our identity wounds, playing in the shadows of the soul-sore self that we protect at all costs. He draws our attention to the places we feel hurt or misunderstood knowing that we cannot heal anything we deny or refuse. Blame is a poor bandage. We must learn to stitch our own scar tissue.

Many a mystic knows a wound is a door, a portal to bespoke wisdom and on the job learning. To travel the passage you must journey into your shadowlands, cultivating courage and midwifing understanding through the balm of your own attention. No one else can do this for you. Shadow work is an internal reckoning. So too Chiron's track through our lives, a red thread that binds us back together.

In this era of rampant transmutation and the constant uncertainty that begets it, Chiron plucks deeper inner strings. Encourages us to tend growing pains by exploring their deepest roots and oldest echoes. Nudges us to liberate our ancient youngest from the prisons we built to protect them. Dares us to dance long in the shadows and revel in their reclamation. Pulling all the pieces together in clumsy orchestra and delighting in the mess.

Healing isn't a matter of how long, it is a function of love and devotion. Chiron's conjunction with the Sun shines the light of your tenderest understanding where it is always needed the most. The full moon in Libra blazing opposite will reflect and magnify all the feels that stay locked inside. Any old wounds they raise are already yours, their potential still masked by pain. You have it in you to heal, darkling. Chiron says.

It’s not forgetting that heals. It’s remembering.
