A Lionhearted New Beginning
Since that great Leonic eclipse about this time three years ago, your heart has been working hard on something.Shocked into arrhythmia by a force majeur. Some interminable days skipping beats or starving for oxygen. Broken and reconditioned and cracked open again. Learning lessons of love and loss the only way they arrived. Pulling thorns from curled paws and stitching daisies into the scars. Drawing strength from its undying. Gathering courage enough to find a way out of the dark woods.Today marks a quieter new beginning, its fanfare held in check by the Capricorn congress. Its vaulting ambition grounded by retrograde imperatives and shadows. Its acorns still rolling in your fingers, borne of all the strange kingdoms and dark valleys your heart has already traversed.Three years to cast this next lifetime. As you stride beyond your old limits and look towards altered landscapes and different horizons, your lionheart hammers anew. Barely confined by its bony cage, a hardy simmer in its rhythm drumming a new tune you hum quietly under your breath.Yesterday is ashes. Tomorrow is green wood. Only today does the fire burn brightly. ~ Eskimo Proverb Art: Lionheart by @ebenismWords c. Kerrie Basha 2020
