Over in the coven, as the dark moon descends, we are musing upon eclipse season and crafting uncommon sense from deep within. Peering into the sacred stillness of this cauldron space is the fulcrum of our magical practice. From there we can dispense with what no longer serves and set our sights on conjuring the new, summoning our magic from deep within. Walking with the moon and cycles as practice and panacea.
"Both Cancer new moons plus your heart's yearning are calling you home. The trick of this magician's revolution is to play your own cards and remain in charge of the deck. Evolution has to happen from the inside out, rippling from the individual through families and communities and workplaces, rebuilding the world from the ground up. It starts with each of us and the web that spins from our fingertips.
This new moon we can choose to create the world we want to live in and commit to the good worthy work (oh hey Saturn) of building it anew. We are being challenged to make our lives stand without the supports we once counted on from the old structures that are folding thick and fast. This year has already taught us a great deal about what we want that to look and feel like. But first, we do the dark." ●
This Sunday my dark mooner on Zoom will weave the disparate threads of a mad eclipse season together, followed by soothing breathwork to nourish the nervous system and a storytelling journey to the shadowlands. It includes a free Q&A on shadow work - ask me anything you like, darklings - and a recording for those who cannot join us live.
For those keen to frame their learning and unlearning with ritual, spellcraft and a devotion to the good work of their lives, join our wonderful community in the coven. I would love to welcome you into our soft supportive fold.
This gorgeous shot of the waning moon in the land of the midnight sun snapped by one of my shadow dancers in northern Sweden. Swoon.
