The Blood Moon Eclipse in Aquaria
I felt an eerie peace when I woke, punctuated by the sound of crows cawing change. The water bearer's blood moon eclipse is nearly upon us and it is time to step bravely away.Ancient lore teaches us that a lunar eclipse is a relinquishing. Sitting on the south node in Aquarius flanked by retrogrades, we are encouraged to look back: at where we have come from, at what once was and who we once were. And we are invited to eclipse it all.Yes it is tetchy out there. We don't let go easily or lightly. There is agitation and gross discomfort abounding with mighty forces tickling our underbellies. We are encouraged to peer deeply into our shadows. Our resistance. Our pain. All the better to force our hands.Aquarius and Uranus, squaring Mars and the moon from Taurus, both govern the movement of fluid in the body. In particular the circulatory and endocrine systems as well as the key centre of both our physical and psychic being: the cerebrospinal fluid. Our energetic core is being well stirred and shaken by this full moon eclipse. The overriding imperative is to cultivate the icy calm and distance on offer in Aquaria. Drink from the water bearer's chalice and imbibe her peculiar wisdom. Let it settle into you. Trust what is being moved from your world and surrender in the space being made. Open your hands and raise them to the eclipsing sky. And simply, gently, quietly let go.To live in this worldyou must be able to do three things:to love what is mortal;to hold it against your bones knowingyour own life depends on it;and, when the times comes to let it go,to let it go.~ Mary OliverThe blood moon is eclipsed in Aquaria at:La La Land on Friday at 1.20pmNu Yoik on Friday at 4.20pmOld Blighty on Friday at 9.20pmSydney Town on Saturday 6.20amArt @cosmiccollageWords © Kerrie Basha, 2018
