The Ruby Shadow of the Blood Moon

The ancient tales of eclipsia are shrouded in an uneasiness, as peoples dependent on the sun and moon gods for their very lives were rattled by this cosmic disappearing act. I wonder if very much has changed even in our terribly modern world, jammed with knowledge and short on understanding, as we stand starstruck still. The ruby shadow has been cast, tracked across Her face, vast seas cratered with imperfection plunged into a gauzy haze. We hold our breath as time itself seems to slow. The birds fall silent, tucking head under wing, taking refuge in their dark. Now may we peer into our shadows too. Explore our hidden face. Cast ourselves back and forth as the light shifts about us. Paddle back through oceans of past days whose thorniest hours never left us and let the awful tide settle and pull out once more.Stories are written and re-told and scribed anew. They live and they die too, reborn in a fashion that better suits new days and ways and means. So too can your wild tale be reformed anew, taking a fresher shape. One that shows how you dug a little deeper. Leaned in a little more. Forgave a little harder and leaped a little farther forward. This is how we eclipse ourselves and in so doing are reborn. As it is above us, so it is within us. Time and tide wait for none but their movement shapes and softens even the sharpest bluffs, a blessing that comes in waves. Our history is an inevitable component of our being. One thing only can release us from our history. That thing is forgiveness. Forgiving does not erase a bitter past. A healed memory is not a deleted memory. Instead forgiving what we cannot forget creates a new way to remember. We change the memory of our past into hope for the future.~ Lewis B SmedesEclipse forgiveness ritual, best performed liberally as we walk between this powerful pair, in my bulging Eclipse-A-Tron ebook.
