I gave myself a long long weekend. Heavy on friends and food and fun. Music and love. Much laughter. Perfect weather. Light on reception, imperatives, technology, deadlines, the outside world.It is an easy bliss.Coming back to the world we are part of right now is constantly horrifying, heartbreaking on a daily basis. We are down yet one more great artist, another seminal voice of a generation fast shuffling off. We mourn horrified a vast sea of innocents at the premeditated hand of constitutionally endorsed friendly fire. Where are we heading as a species? Who are we becoming as the baton is being passed and the earth is turning?It can feel hopeless. Days when I feel helpless I only want to find the deepest cave as far into the woods as you can go. And take Tom and his mate Jack with me *sigh*.Then, again, I will hear a familiar voice."....
