V Day Tarot

Oh Valentines Day, here you are again already lover. Another Hallmark hero looming over us and the lore behind the day swallowed up in a sea of satin hearts and overpriced roses. Tosh.

Valentines Day is named for the 5th century saint who used to marry couples in secret and was matyred / murdered for his trouble. Terribly romantic unless you are St Valentine. The celebration was originally the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, two days of feasting, merrymaking and fertility rites celebrated in mid February. More about that on Sunday, pagan lore buffs.

Valentines Day has a tendency to underline your relationship status and point out to you with a flashing neon sign precisely how you feel about that. Whether you're looking for love, nursing your wounded heart back to health or truly madly deeply enmeshed, my tarot readings shine a warm soft light on the place you find yourself, how you got there and where you're heading. This is valuable clarity.

And so this weekend I am offering tarot on Saturday at Great Northern Trading Post in Laguna and on Sunday at Singleton Sunday Markets.

Bookings are available for singles, couples, polygamists and people who define themselves merely by name too If that's you, send me a raven to book in.
