Aquaria is known for its irreverence and the delight it takes in forging an unseen path of its own. Said to walk to the beat of a different drummer than most everyone else, its natives are quirky originalists with a stubborn determination to do things their own peculiar way.

As we collectively enter the third decan of Aquaria this imperative enlarges, expanding potential and possibility alike. It affords us shimmering tangents and rampant opportunity. It cultivates the new and wonderful and ushers it towards us. Its technicolour lens is a kaleidoscope affording us a brilliant brand new view if we choose to look through it. With just one teensy caveat, a cornerstone of the Aquarian ethos and a compulsory adoption if you plan to mainline the manna on offer.

You have to do things differently. And given where we are each and all currently placed on the spectrum of history and humanity, perhaps we actually have to do every single e v e r y t h i n g differently.

Throw out all we think we know? The crowd recoils in horror. Give up everything sure and safe? An audible gasp. Trade it for a vast unknown? The naysayers depart shaking heads and the chicken littles cower and weep. Yes! booms the lone loud voice of dissension with a cheeky grin. All of it!

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result. If your wheels are currently spinning, pushing harder does not move you forward but it sure does throw a hell of a lot of mud around. As I frequently bang on about in my readings, for little ol' any of us to effect lasting change in our lives, we must first get utterly sick of our same old shit.

Are you there yet?

The drums are beating harder in your ear, your heart hammering their strange new rhythm. Comforming is the death knell now and necessity is the mother of invention. Aquaria's invitation is thrumming in your inbox, a letter sent a long time ago by your future self. One more week to finally open it and mark its lifechanging contents as read.
