"Whilst the sabbats that mark the notches on the wheel of the year stand sentinel over eons, they become our personal markers for change. We arrive to each in a different form and at a different place in our life.

We yet live in a world that resists the eternal spin of the wheel, coddles and enshrines tradition and refuses its evolution as though it somehow undercuts its value. The opposite is true: our traditions hold us to a lineage upon which we stand and those deep roots give us foundation. Like any tree they must grow and change shape if they are to survive at all. Stasis is certain death. Excavating the rot and tending to current conditions ensures survival. Only continuing growth thickens the trunk and widens the reach of the branches.

The equinox is a threshold. It is for scrying backwards and forwards. For putting something down and picking something up."
