Retrograde as Cosmic Homework
In typical fashion, Uranus arrived this morn in his own sweet time to the retrograde party. He now joins more than half our solar system in reverse gear, a boon for all of us addled and overwrought by eclipsia. Yes truly. This mad season plants the seeds for your evolution - and yes too more than fertilises the soil - but it is not your slingshot into your brave new world. Not yet. And certainly not when the universal imperative is to slow down, peering backwards to see the way forwards.Retrogrades are like cosmic homework. The very best students embrace the opportunity to revise and cement what they learned. The worst scream about having to do it at all, ignore the schooling on offer and rack off to smoke behind the toilets. The big news last May was Uranus' move from Aries to Taurus, utterly changing the game. Boggle at how your life has shifted since then. And even if you'd rather not, Uranus now retraces his heavy footprints over this ground, dipping back into Aries by November.Incidentally, that day just so happens to be the American mid-term elections. That same day more than eight decades ago when Uranus was exiting Aries into Taurus saw the rise of Hitler. So, what have we learned as a species since then? The remainder of this year will show us in the starkest possible terms. For those of us without the fate of humanity in our hands, playing along at home and in our own lives, here's your rx cheat sheet study guide. This is what we best be revising as we fall over an eclipsed finish line.Saturn rx : your structure, your timing, your disciplineMars rx : your anger, your drive, your desireNeptune rx : your emotions and intuitive landscapePluto rx : your personal power, how you use or abuse itMerc rx : your truthful authentic communicationUranus rx : your acceptance of change and chaosIf you didn't know better, it would seem like an absolute revisioning and reworking of your whole life from the inside out. Right you are. The events of your life are patently illustrating your need to do the homework. Quit the bitching. Head down, bum up. You came here to learn. And yes, there will be a test at the end of this retrograde term. You can bet your school colours on it.Words and graphic © Kerrie Basha, 2018
