It is hilarious irony but I like setting an intention for Mercury's retrograde. Yes. Even though unconventional wisdom tells us about things not unfolding as you expect, a notion at devastating odds with intention. Still I have played around with it this year. It delivers.Start with what we know. The ruler of Gemini & Virgo always shows up with a great deal of information about his focus for our waltz together. This time, in Sagg & close to Saturn, Merc asks us to revise our year through a truthful lens. Not rose coloured or fabricated. Not what makes us feel better. An authentic disciplined revision that holds true to who & how we really are while still bowing to the insight on offer.We can peer in further to see where Mercury dances through our individual charts for more aha! moments. And here's the important bit. Putting it all together & then, crucially, setting that aside to make space for redirection delivers a very different rx experience.Mercury is deep in conversation with Saturn today. Preparing as he is to wrap up any unlikely loose ends before he shifts into Capricornia just before the Solstice, Saturn will have much to say after three years in the ardent archer's realm. It stands to reason that both Saturn's work ethic & his sense of timing will leave a crucial impression on this retro.Retrograde rewards looking back if it is for the purpose of looking again. Peering in a way you could not when you were living it, which is why it conjures events & people from the past. All the ex files. Your bounty lies not in getting wistfully mired in the Once Was or letting your inner critic run the revision. What a craptastic waste of good magic. Don't.Instead unwrap the gift of retrograde. Stumbling across, remembering or *gasp* seeking previous lightning strikes of information, genius, work or sense reconnects threads of past insight to our present. It literally joins the dots and plugs the gaps. Try it and see.With Saturn banging about there will be a test that proves both work and worth.
